What should I wear?
Casual clothes are the norm at Pleasant Hill. You'll most often see our pastors in casual shirts and jeans or Dockers! So, feel free to leave the suit and tie at home. The ladies wear jeans, Dockers, and skirts... whatever, they feel is appropriate and comfortable.

How long does the service last?
The weekend services at Pleasant Hill typically last an hour.

What will the services be like?
Our weekend services experience the elements of drama, multi-media, contemporary music, and practical messages that speak to real-life.

Will I have to say anything, sign anything, give anything, or be singled out in any way?
NO! At Pleasant Hill, you'll never be put on the spot, never singled-out, and never embarrassed. You won't be asked to participate in the offering. You don't have to sign anything or register your attendance in any way (unless you place your child in our children's ministry - for your child's security, we'll need to get some information). Our hope is that you'll let the service be our gift to you and that you'll know we're here for you!

What about my kids? Do They come into the service with me or is there something going on for them?
Our children's ministry, KIDZ, provides an exciting experience for infants, toddlers, and kids through the fourth grade. This allows you to get the most from your experience at Pleasant Hill while your child is receiving high levels of care, attention, teaching - and fun!

Is this a Christ-centered church or something else?
Though non-traditional in style, Pleasant Hill Church is deeply committed to the eternal truths of the Christian faith. Pleasant Hill is affiliated with the Willow Creek Association and the Southern Baptist Convention. Our vision is simple: To extravagantly love God and Love People. Of course one of our main efforts is reaching seekers and building believers into fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ! What are the service times and which service should I attend?
At present, there is one weekend service - 10:15a.

What is ahead for the Pleasant Hill Church family?
We have purchased 40 acres of land on State Highway 7, North of Pleasant Hill, for our future church home. The land is bordered by County Line Road, State Highway 7 and Short Road. We plan to break ground in the very near future.

Pleasant Hill will have services if at all possible during inclement weather. If services have been cancelled or adjusted, we will post it on our website at http://www.fbcpleasanthill.org; notify local TV stations; add an appropriate message to the automated answering at the church telephone number: 816.540.5872. |
